Open HushNotes.dmg and drag the app to Applications.

The app opens to “Enter your license key”. One key, every Mac you own.
Three keys.They work from any app.
You never switch to HushNotes. You stay in the app you’re in and press a key. Every key can be changed in Settings › Hotkeys.
⌥⇧Space needs macOS’s Accessibility permission, asked once on first launch. The “Capture in HushNotes” item in an app’s Services menu works without it.

Share your screen the way you always do. On by default, note windows stay out of shares, recordings and screenshots.
HushNotes uses Apple’s own window-sharing setting. It covers the notes, the Shelf, Settings and the capture pill, and you can switch it off in Settings › Privacy. The menu bar icon is the one thing macOS always shows.

Encrypted, title readable
A locked note’s text and images are encrypted (AES-GCM), on your Mac and in iCloud. The title stays readable so you can find it.

Check spam or promotions first. If it isn’t there, sign in to the Dodo Payments customer portal with the email you paid with. Your key is always there.
Use the same key. One licence covers every Mac you own: install HushNotes, open it and paste the key. Want your notes there too? Switch on iCloud sync, which is off by default.
No. Without a licence, HushNotes can read the notes you already have but can’t make new ones.
